Yesterday we made a video clip for our "Road Wise" slide show. I really enjoyed making this clip with my teacher and a couple of friends, it was quite funny though because Storm, Mary-Ruth and I crossed half way and laughed a bit then carried on crossing.
I am a Year 8 student at Glenbrae School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 7 and my teacher is Mrs Tofa.

⚽Soccer Team!!⚽
Today the inter-school soccer team went to Pt. England Reserve. The students in my class who went were Mary-Ruth, Katrina, Saluselo, Solomone, Peni, Tristan, Pupuke, Vika, Mary, Julianne and Konzay. I really hope that the year 7's and 8's come first. If they do I would be proud and I'm pretty sure that one of my teachers would be very glad that they won. The year 5's and 6's went to soccer as well. I hope that they come second. I believe that our school will do well.Photo Source: Soccer Ball Clip
Hip Hop Dance Class With Jess!!!
Today we had a hip hop dance class with Jess, who was the teacher.
When I first walked into the room I was surprised and excited because Jess looked like a professional teacher. We first started off with a warm up. After that we moved on to the first few movements of a dance. We danced to the song Uptown Funk. We then did more difficult movements and finished the class with a game called "Musical Statues."
I thought it was fun.

Last Week Of School!!!
This week is the last week of school. I am very excited that it's close to the two weeks holiday. I think that you would be happy about this as well, I mean who wouldn't be? I'll be sure to read through the holidays so I'll be ready for next term. It's only a few more days until ANZAC! So I'm sure it's going to be a busy holiday for everyone else. School has been really good lately, I am learning to be a well behaved year 7. Next week on Tuesday I am going to Taranaki known as New Plymouth for the holidays.

Commonwealth Games: Athletics
Last night was the Commonwealth GamesAthletics.
The track and field has been proven to be our country's most successful sport.
Our country has won 130 medals in the history of the Games, 35 of them being gold. Just by thinking of that, isn't our country working so hard to get so many medals?
Many of our memorable Commonwealth Games' moments have occurred in athletics from Yvette Williams, Peter Snell, Murray Halberg, Les Mills, Dick Taylor, John Walker and Anne Audain.Information from: News Hub: Athletics

Making Hotcakes At Tamaki College Cookin Tech!!!
Today we made hotcakes with Mrs Tuipulotu and the year 8s made sponge cakes. It wasn't that hard to make apart from the time when my partner flipped the hotcakes. After we finished cooking we put our hotcakes on two plates for me and my partner. Then we went to our teacher so that we could put on the chocolate sauce and take our picture.

Starting Off For A New Year
This year has been very exciting. Being in Room 12 is a bit different from last year. This year I feel new to the school. My teachers are Mrs Golder and Mr Reid. To me they're hard working and sometimes funny teachers. At our school we have six prefects and their names are Riiana, Jessica, Leanah, Pupuke, Saluselo and Katrina. Katrina is the head prefect of our school
