Matarki

For our inquiry topic we are writing about Matariki. I was working with Izabella and Vika. We worked on this together, we talked to each other about what our WALT was relating to. I studied a big quantity amount about Matariki. I was really interested while writing this slide show.

Happy Birth Day Miss Misela!!!

Today is a very special day for Miss Misela. Today is her Birthday. We all hope you the best day ever for you Miss Misela.

A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Miss Misela from Room 12. We love that you are a great teacher and we are glad that you have come to the right school. You are very caring and you always show us love.

Dear Miss Misela,

You were my first teacher when I joined the senior block. I still remember the first day when we started in Room 9, I knew that you were very nervous. Thanks for always being there for all of us. You have always made me happy and laugh.  You taught me a lot last year and the year before that year. Every bad situation I was in you would always solve them. I thank you for being the most lovely, loyal and respectful teacher I've always needed. You are the best teacher anyone could ask for!

Hip Hop Dancing!!!

Today we had hip hop dancing again with Jess. At hip hop we did something new from every other hip hop dance session, today we  had to slit into groups and present a dance in front of our whole class and our teachers. My group was group 1, so we had to share our dance moves first. I really had so much fun and really enjoyed doing something new with Jess. I always like doing something new.

Buddy Reading With Room 6!!!

A week ago we had buddy reading with Room 6. First of all I didn't have a partner so I decided to join Joanlisi and her partner Emily. She read mine and Joanlisi's blog post and some from other classes. Emily was reading very well and we didn't have to tell her any words that she might not know or say. I really enjoyed buddy reading with Joanlisi and Emily.

Being Road Wise!!!

 

Yesterday we made a video clip for our "Road Wise" slide show. I really enjoyed making this clip with my teacher and a couple of friends, it was quite funny though because Storm, Mary-Ruth and I crossed half way and laughed a bit then carried on crossing.

⚽Soccer Team!!⚽

Today the inter-school soccer team went to Pt. England Reserve. The students in my class who went were Mary-Ruth, Katrina, Saluselo, Solomone, Peni, Tristan, Pupuke, Vika, Mary, Julianne and Konzay. I really hope that the year 7's and 8's come first. If they do I would be proud and I'm pretty sure that one of my teachers would be very glad that they won. The year 5's and 6's went to soccer as well. I hope that they come second. I believe that our school will do well.

Hip Hop Dance Class With Jess!!!

Today we had a hip hop dance class with Jess, who was the teacher.

When I first walked into the room I was surprised and excited because Jess looked like a professional teacher. We first started off with a warm up. After that we moved on to the first few movements of a dance. We danced to the song Uptown Funk. We then did more difficult movements and finished the class with a game called "Musical Statues."

I thought it was fun.
